In at least 1.4m deep water, perform feet-first surface dive, swim through hoops on pool bottom for 3m.<\/p>\n
Movement \/ Swimming \/ Strokes<\/b><\/p>\n\n- 50m Front Crawl (within 1:30 min).<\/li>\n
- 50m Breaststroke(within 1:50 min).<\/li>\n
- 50m Backstroke (within 1:40 min).<\/li>\n
- 25m Survival Backstroke.<\/li>\n
- 25m Sidestroke.<\/li>\n
- Dolphin kick 10m on front.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
Survival & Activity Skills<\/b><\/h3>\n
Dressed in swimwear, shorts and t-shirt demonstrate:<\/b><\/p>\n\n- Enter deep water using a straddle jump.<\/li>\n
- Perform a backward somersault.<\/li>\n
- Submerge using feet first surface dive.<\/li>\n
- Swim through hoops on pool bottom for 3m and resurface.<\/li>\n
- Swim 45m quickly using front crawl.<\/li>\n
- Wave and call for help (rescuer to throw PFD).<\/li>\n
- Retrieve a PFD in water and fit it while treading water.<\/li>\n
- Demonstrate Heat Escape Lessening Posture (H.E.L.P.) technique for 30 sec.<\/li>\n
- Then swim 25m with PFD and climb out of the water.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
Rescue Skills<\/b><\/h3>\n
Throw a PFD to a partner 3m away and instruct the partner to kick to the edge.<\/p>\n
